Accommodation on a budget in Andorra.
Tricky, but achievable if you're willing to camp, or
if you're going for the trekking, to stay in one of the mountain rifugis
along the way. There are no youth hostels in Andorra and the hotels raise
their prices dramatically in the high seasons.
A Traveller's Budget for Andorra.
You can pick up Tapas for a reasonable price or check
out the buffet on the top floor of the Pyrenees Department Store. Public
transport is by bus or you could just walk, the whole country's a third
of the size of Paris.
Activities for the Budget Traveller
-Hiking, anywhere in the summer
-Skiing and Snowboarding, anywhere in the winter
- Visit the Postal Museum in Ordino and see the thousands of stamps issued
for this tiny country
-Drink and party away the winter nights while the ski season's on.
-Avoid wallet emptying shops by getting out of Andorra La Vella and going
for a walk / ski.
